Product Specifications

The Predator PRED6 Signature Goat Leather TIG Welding Gauntlets are engineered specifically for professional fabricators requiring maximum tactile feedback without sacrificing protection. Made from high-grade, supple ivory goat hide, these gauntlets allow effortless feeding of fine filler rod and delicate torch control during high-precision TIG operations.

Designed with an ergonomic straight thumb and a reinforced leather thumb crotch, the PRED6 strengthens the highest-wear zone between the thumb and forefinger to prevent seam blowout during repetitive handling. The palm and fingers are lined with 100% breathable cotton—ensuring long-shift comfort while eliminating the melting risk associated with synthetic linings when exposed to extreme heat. Stitched entirely with ultra-durable, flame-retardant Twaron® aramid thread and paired with a heavy-duty split cowhide cuff, these gauntlets shield the wrists and forearms from radiant heat and light spatter.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Supple Goat-Hide Construction: Delivers exceptional touch sensitivity and flexibility for feeding thin TIG wire and manipulating torch controls.

  • Twaron® Heat-Resistant Stitching: Sewn with high-tensile aramid thread to resist degradation, sparking, and seam failure under high temperatures.

  • Reinforced Thumb Crotch: Extra leather reinforcement across the thumb-forefinger junction increases tear resistance and product lifespan.

  • 100% Cotton Lining: Palm and fingers lined with pure cotton to enhance comfort, absorb perspiration, and prevent fabric melting under high heat.

  • Durable Split-Leather Cuff: Extended wrist and forearm coverage provides dependable protection against radiant heat and stray weld spatter.

  • Certified Protection: Tested to EN 388 (mechanical hazards) and EN 407 (Level 4 burning behaviour).
